What can I rent with Bookaroo?
Any physical product in your Shopify catalog: event gear like tables and chairs, equipment like cameras and tools, sports gear, and more. Bookaroo is built for physical-inventory rentals, not appointments.
Does it really prevent double-bookings?
Yes. An availability engine checks every reservation so the same item is never booked twice for overlapping dates. Turn on inventory holds and other sales channels can’t oversell it either.
Can I rent by the hour?
Yes. Set hourly, daily, and weekly rates per item, and Bookaroo applies the best-value combination for the customer, or strict tiers if you prefer.
How do deposits and balances work?
Collect a deposit up front (a percentage, a flat amount, or none) and charge the balance later, using native Shopify draft-order payment terms.
Pooled or serialized inventory?
Both. Rent from a shared pool with quantity tracking (e.g. 50 chairs), or manage individual serialized units with their own serial numbers and history (e.g. specific cameras).
Does it support multiple locations?
Yes. Track rentals across locations with location-specific availability and inventory, plus delivery and return-pickup windows.
Do customers book on the storefront, or do I?
Today you create phone and walk-in reservations end-to-end in the Shopify admin. Customer-facing storefront booking on the product page is on the roadmap.
